Team 270° Fun is developing a cooperative multiplayer racing experience centered on building community through sports. Designed for the Cavern system at the Entertainment Technology Center (ETC), the project leverages a 270° curved projection screen and a 20-foot-wide interactive play area to create dynamic, in-person multiplayer interactions within an immersive virtual environment.
The goal of the project is to place players directly into the fan experience of an F1 racing event, encouraging communication, cooperation, and friendly team spirit. The game features two complementary roles—Cheerleader and Audience—who must collaborate to cheer for their team. Their combined performance directly influences the race by boosting their driver’s speed, triggering dramatic passes, crashes, and fast cornering moments. Every element of the experience is crafted to evoke a strong sense of belonging even before the race begins, strengthening each player’s connection not only to the game, but also to the teammates and supporters cheering alongside them.
