Week 14

This week, as we approached the end of the semester, our team focused on finalizing the project for the ETC Festival on Friday.

The Festival provided a great opportunity to showcase our work to a large audience within our target demographic. To ensure a smooth and engaging experience for all guests, we made several final adjustments and improvements:

To better support groups of players entering the CAVERN together, we created an updated onboarding video to clearly introduce the gameplay. Based on earlier feedback, we extended the video’s length and slowed down the commentator’s pacing to improve clarity. We recorded a new version and edited it into the final onboarding sequence.

Given the Festival setup, we also transitioned our server from a local network to a public one, allowing guests to join the game link easily without connecting to a private network.

On the art and experience side, we enhanced the environment by adjusting asset placement and lighting, and created a new texture for the car acceleration VFX. Additionally, we designed and printed tickets and posters to promote the game throughout the event.

The Festival was a success—guests were enthusiastic, engaged, and excited to play. Overall, it was a strong finish for the project. Great work, team!
