This week, the team made strong progress across all disciplines, successfully aligning on the core game concept and visual direction. The design team finalized the gameplay pitch and gathered valuable feedback from faculty, which will guide upcoming iterations.



Design:
- Finalized and pitched core gameplay concept to faculty and Simcoach
- Discussed design for AI-controlled cars using invisible track lanes
- Explored comeback mechanics and player agency in team settings
- Conducted AirConsole gameplay control research
Program:
- Set up Perforce project with Cavern Toolkit
- Resolved package compatibility issues in Perforce
- Built early prototype with track and car scripts and a running demo

Art:
- Defined visual direction combining high-contrast F1 style with vintage and vibrant tones, created moodboards and concept logo
- Started building the first F1 car model and explored procedural modeling tools in Blender
