What is 360 Studio?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

360 Studio is an experimental game design project developed by a multidisciplinary student team at Carnegie Mellon University\u2019s Entertainment Technology Center (ETC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our team is exploring how a 360-degree display can create new forms of shared play. Through a series of short prototypes, we are testing how perspective, movement, physical space, and multiplayer interaction change when gameplay is no longer limited to a traditional flat screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this early stage, our goal is to understand the platform’s unique possibilities. The project will continue to evolve as we prototype, playtest, and refine our direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At its core, 360 Studio asks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How can games designed for a 360\u00b0 display change the way people play together?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are still exploring the answer. Our goal is to discover which interactions truly benefit from the 360\u00b0 format and use what we learn to create a compelling multiplayer experience that could not be achieved on a traditional flat screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
