After returning from GDC, our team raised the bar for the level of polish expected in our demo compared to the first half of the semester. This includes clearer interaction feedback, more refined interaction flows, and character designs that better express their unique traits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This week, our main progress focused on implementing and refining the newly designed interactions for the mouse and the paper crane.<\/strong> The process of bringing these interactions to life came with several challenges. Beyond integrating art assets with technical systems, our experience also involves spatial design and interactions with physical objects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a result, we began sourcing and purchasing the physical props required for the game, while also working to integrate virtual elements into these real-world objects. Embedding the virtual world seamlessly into a physical environment proved to be particularly time-consuming for the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite these challenges, we successfully completed two relatively polished interaction experiences. We conducted a playtest on Friday and received positive feedback overall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
