Project Progress<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this week, we have a simple game demo with rough structure that can demonstrate the idea of our game. We finished the selection phase (players select characters), the puzzle system, simple puzzle interactions, and the UI layout concept.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Puzzle System<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the puzzle system, players are able to view what puzzles they have collected in the base (in Fig. Puzzle Base), and by clicking on the puzzle buttons in the base, they can view the detail puzzle information. Players can also interact with puzzle by putting passcode to check whether the puzzle is correct or not (in Fig. Puzzle Interaction).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UI Layout<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attached are some UI concept designs for our game, which includes<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • clue\/puzzle base<\/strong>: players can view clues\/puzzles in the base, and interact to see detailed clue information\/solve puzzle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • investigation panel<\/strong>: players are able to move through maps in investigation panel during investigation phase, and interact with interest points to get clues\/puzzles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • discussion panel<\/strong>: players can view clue\/puzzle base in discussion phase, and solve puzzles in discussion panel. Players are also able to accuse other players as the murder at the end of the game. (in the last discussion phase)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Character Selection & Character Info Read<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Besides, we now allow players to select character at the beginning of the game, and players are able to read the selected character’s background story, relationship with ava, specialskills, and alibi during the selection phase. We will also tell the murder player that he\/she is the murder in this part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The attached are the UI concept for our character info panel and player selection menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
