Production
This week, we focused on finalizing Truth or Lie. After conducting a process review with our instructor, we realized it’s necessary to break our project into more specific sprints and outline what each group member is responsible for each week. In summary, we need to be clearer and more organized with our project planning. Since our original goal was to publish the game halfway through the project, we now have one more week, which is a limited amount of time. Our next week’s goal is to have tha game ready to be tested out in the playtest night and Wednesday meeting, and we will use the rest of the time refining any possible feedbacks.
Design & Art
- We completed the team photo, poster, logo, and half-sheet design for Beyond Beyond Touch.
- We are continuously updating our project website. The materials and content are ready, and we have decided to continue using our previous web design while updating it with our new progress.
- We expanded our otter customization options. In addition to choosing the otter avatar, players can now select from six color options, offering 36 customization combinations. This enhances player identity and reduces the chance of players selecting the same options.
- Continue working on the rule phase, where we use manga illustrations to give players an overall sense of what the game will look like. These visuals will help players understand each phase of the game, and more importantly, indicate that when their watch provides haptic feedback, it signifies that the player’s heart rate is rising dramatically.
