Production

In the third week, we had our quarter, addressing our plan before half and what we hope to achieve in this semester. Our ultimate goal is to publish it on the App store within three social games as one suite: a “talk a lot”, a “move a lot” and a “talk+move”. And the Truth or Lie (talk a lot one) will be a robust ready to go deliverable by the half. 

We get some feedbacks from the quarter:

  • Be more specific about the steps before publishing (e.g., under review by the App Store).
  • The third game would be a good backup for the team if the second one does not turn out well.
  • Ensure smooth balance and transfer between phone and watch, allowing players to navigate seamlessly between devices.
  • The design of the third game is still rough and needs further development.

Other than quarter, our team has made progress for the truth or lie pregaming part.

Design & Art
  • Hi-fi version 1 of the pre-game is designed to be reusable across all mini-games. The flow starts on the phone, where users launch the game app, customize their name and otter, navigate to the game suite, and select a game. On the watch, users can join or create a room, use the picker to enter the room code, and wait in the lobby for all players to join. We believe further revisions are necessary, so the final version will be completed after next week’s iteration.
  • For the logo and poster, we now have a few otter-driven logo concepts. We’ll continue refining these ideas, categorizing them into two main types: otter-driven and type-driven logos.

  • Start of frontend for the pregame
  • Cloud function
