In Week 9, our group gathered all the feedback from the previous half and formulated a set of questions we wanted to address:

1. Clarifying our target audience demographics and use case scenarios.

2. Enhancing the final deliverable while maintaining a reasonable scope.Considering aspects such as publishing, advertising, TestFlight beta versions, and funding.

3. Planning for the future: What distinguishes completing our project this semester from extending it to another semester? What additional benefits would an extension provide?

We also took a step forward and pitched it as a two-semester project.

Here is our project’s to-do list, prioritized by importance:

1. Polish the Truth or Lie mini-game, including refining the integrated onboarding flow, ensuring a sufficient number of questions, implementing a voting system, and introducing game rules.

2. Refine server infrastructure.

3. Enhance the TestFlight version with an integrated Truth or Lie mini-game.
Fine-tune the remaining Playground games.

4. Explore additional verbal games that align with our scenario.

5. Develop marketing strategies.

6. Explore conference and funding opportunities.

7. Prepare for the final version’s publication.

Playtesting:

Additionally, our group plans to conduct weekly playtests, both for our existing social game and successful social games in the market.

Feedback after playtesting with middle school students:
The entire playtest lasted 30 minutes, during which participants engaged in 2 rounds. The provided questions were “Tell about a crazy thing you have done before” and “Tell about a time you lied to your parents.”

Overall, our game proved effective in strengthening the friendships among players. Prior to the game, testers were unfamiliar with each other and somewhat timid. However, after 30 minutes, they became more active and excited. One challenge observed was that players sometimes struggled to recall each other’s stories when it was time to question.

For the upcoming week, we will focus on refining the Truth or Lie mini-game and testing the onboarding flow, which is crucial for selecting personas and initiating the game.
