Week 12 & 13

Week 12 was a short week due to Thanksgiving break, and we spent the only working day of the week on finalizing the demo videos we prepared for half.

Now, we have prepared 4 versions of demo videos that can be presented to faculties on Soft.

These demo videos includes: 1. a demo shows how the dynamic music system work when the player only parries enemy attack; 2. a demo focus on showing how the music change when enemy enters different states; 3. a demo shows that we have fix the issue of music off-sync when player attacks the enemy regularly; 4. a compare version that didn’t have any dynamic music feature.

During Soft Opening, faculties gave us feedback on the clarity of the project and things that confuses them. Base on our Soft feedback, faculties like to see (or hear) a more straight forward contrast in the music between the normal and weak state of the enemy. They also got confused on the critical beat UI in the current demo, so we decide to take that away.

Although it requires more work to take the current demo into a more polished state, at this point of the project, we can say that we have completed all the technical features in our goal. Next week, we will be focus on festival and final presentation preparation.
