Week 4: February 1st – February 7th

Week 4 was primarily spent getting things more on track. Ean was experimenting with WordPress to get a rough version of the website up and running.

We also received an order of Lego and Ean quickly began making a mock up of the physical set with it, basing it off of Harley’s work with the digital school.

Esther continued work on editing the poster, and half sheet, refining our identity based on feedback from Charles Johnson.

Arthur began importing models from Studio into UEFN and testing how well the collision and walking around worked, getting a better sense for how the player would feel in game.

Harley worked on updating the Lego model for the poster and half-sheet as well as doing post processing for it, making it look as nice as possible for our materials.

Isabella began work in the Parts Designer software to create custom minifigures, unwrap their UVs, and then model them in Blender, allowing us to have similar designs used for both our physical set and our digital set.

We also took our team photo during the week in the ETC’s Green Screen Room, as well as doing individual shots of us. Ean also created minifig representations of everyone for this, adding that little touch of personality and showing off how a rough idea of how to blend physical and digital Lego.
