This week was spent in preparation for our Halves Presentation, not only creating the slide deck for it but also gathering materials for it. Isabella was a huge help in getting the overall layout put together for the slide deck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We continued doing test shots in the Greenscreen room, focusing on lighting the host and chromakeying out the green from behind them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also ran into an issue where the software we were using to stream our cameras didn\u2019t allow the use of multiple cameras in OBS. To bypass this, we installed an HDMI capture card that would allow us to directly wire into each camera. While this worked, it also resulted in interpolation issues where harsh lines would appear on screen whenever something moved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team also had the opportunity to visit CodeJoy again this week, and this meeting was incredibly helpful to our process. We had the opportunity to observe how they set up their OBS software for their shows, how they block out scripts, and how they rehearse and fine tune their performances. We also got to play around with their set-up to see how things work, which was really helpful for the team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After learning these techniques, we quickly created a demo version of the livestream set up, cutting between two cameras and including pre-recorded footage that we could present during Halves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
