WEEK 3
1/4 Walkarounds
In week 3, the UX designers completed the first version of the user flow design based on the previous goals. We discussed with ETC’s faculty during the 1/4 Walkarounds and received a lot of feedback.
The most important feedback was that many faculty members perceived us as a communication-based experience, and our process did not incorporate too many communication features. Also, many faculties believed that we would need early playtesting to validate our ideas. We studied this feedback and proposed some iteration solutions, such as using virtual avatars for communication to increase fun. Still, ultimately we chose to integrate Zoom’s video conversation because it was the most efficient way of online communicating. We had also set up the testing schedule of attending one of the Playtest Nights around mid-February to validate the feasibility of our initial ideas during the testing session. We started to develop the prototype after the pre-production stage.
