Weekly Overview
This week, we finalized our introduction video and began setting up the green screen room. To showcase our assets, we rendered additional views from the scene and calibrated the full-body motion capture system for optimal performance. The week culminated in the festival on Friday night, where we shared our work with the audience.
Festival Setup
We finalized the floor plan for the festival, which features four distinct areas: Facial MoCap, Full-Body MoCap, Asset Display, and ICVFX. Each area offers a unique experience, showcasing the techniques and technologies used in creating our introduction video.
To ensure guests can easily engage with the experiences, we created intuitive instruction signs that are more visually appealing than text descriptions. From left to right, the signs provide guidance for Facial MoCap, ICVFX, and Full-Body MoCap.
Festival Night
The festival turned out to be a great success! Following the introduction video, guests had the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the techniques we used to create virtual production throughout the semester.
