Weekly Overview
This week, we focused on preparing for next week’s shoot and advancing our post-production work. We completed the motion capture setup, making necessary adjustments to the character and refining both the MetaHuman model and its clothing. Additionally, we implemented an AI-based motion capture system and conducted a short test to ensure everything functions smoothly. In post-production, we made significant progress by finishing the first round of color correction and initial edits for the ICVFX footage. With these steps complete, we’re well-prepared for the upcoming shoot.
Meta Human
About meta human: dress asset finished, including mesh, texture and rigging
- About texture: dress display problem on transparency solved: png > exr
- About rigging: upper part of the dress weighting was directly transferred from meta human rigging and skinning data, thus synced with the meta human movement; lower part of the dress was attached to the meta human waist(weight transfer only provides proper display on pants, not on dresses/one piece garment)
- Next step on clothes: test clothes performance on mocap for advancing optimizing solution

We set up Remocapp, an AI-based real-time motion capture plugin that uses camera input. The software provided an acceptable level of accuracy and stability for our motion capture needs, producing promising initial results:
