Playtest Feedback and Suggestions

During last week’s playtest, we received a substantial amount of feedback and suggestions from our participants. Some of the key points raised are summarized below:

  1. Instructions were not clear or obvious enough.
  2. Aiming the in-game rays proved difficult and had a steep learning curve.
  3. The game’s guide voice was not easily discernible.
  4. Many players expressed eagerness to experience the second level.

Development Plan for This Week

In response to the feedback received, and to continue the development of the second level, we have outlined the following plan for this week:

  1. Optimize the audio for in-game instructions.
  2. Improve the UI guidance effect and, if time permits, add a tutorial interface for new players.
  3. Complete the scenario design for the second level, including designing the level route.
  4. Design the transition from the first level to the second level.
  5. Integrate and ensure smooth gameplay across the first and second levels.
  6. Finalize the gameplay mechanics for the second level:
    • Flashlight: When the light shines on enemies, it will temporarily freeze them.
    • Gun: A weapon to be used by the player to shoot enemies.

We finally finished the initial demo design of the second level this week and plan to optimize and improve all levels in the next week.
