About

Colleido is an animation project that leverages DEP (Dual Eye Point) technology and separate audio tracks to immerse the audience in the same story from multiple perspectives, exploring themes of bias and perception.

In our animation, we present a one-minute story following four university students attending a team meeting. Each character embodies a distinct trait—ADHD, introversion, first-generation, or international student experiences—and the narrative is designed to reflect their unique challenges. We incorporate different plotlines, visual effects, and environments tailored to their perspectives, simulating the difficulties they face in team collaboration. This approach allows the audience to step into their world and understand their point of view.

Our primary goal is to develop a project-specific pipeline and deliver a polished, high-quality piece. We utilize Maya, Substance Painter, Meshy (3D model AI generator), Midjourney, Metahuman to create both realistic and stylized art assets. Additionally, we integrate motion capture and Unreal Engine 5 for rendering, while Premiere and After Effects are used for post-production. Through this process, we aim to offer the audience a unique and engaging viewing experience.

Our Goal

Technology

We utilizes DEP (Dual Eye Point) technology and separate audio tracks to immerse the audience in the same story by watching the same screen together.

Art

We aimed on creating a good looking piece to learn and hone our skills baised on our different roles such as character, environment, shader, rigging, motion capture, camera placement, etc.

Topic

Our narrative follows four university students from different backgrounds coming together for a meeting. We portray each of their perspectives based on their unique experiences, using different storytelling methods, so the audience can better understand and relate to a more diverse society.
