
Mood board
This week, we created a mood board exploring the artistic description of four perspectives (the first-gen student, the international student, the ADHD student, and the introverted student).
We held a meeting with Ayana to discuss the mood board. Based on her feedback, we realized that the first-gen perspective had not been fully researched. With Ayana’s assistance, we’ve scheduled two meetings with first-gen individuals for next week.
Character & Mocap
We further explore and study the motion capture pipeline, in which we apply non-biped mocap data onto props, and have character being able to interact with the props. And we tested out putting the character into UE5, and explored the functionalities related with the animation.
At this point, as we are still deciding on whether to create our own character or to buy character assets, we formed a draft mocap pipeline based on the free model: MotionBuilder (clean and retarget mocap data) ->Maya (edit animation) ->UE5(render animation).
Camera & Lighting
We also investigated the Unreal Engine’s Sequencer to add camera shots and dynamic lighting effects.

Posters and Logo
We experimented with several different designs for our posters and logos.
