Each blob stores precise data on color, position, scale, rotation, and transparency. The survey gathered important contact information, as well as some thoughts on their working style and aspirations\/fears for this project. Some interesting observations of the results:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To answer the question: \u201cImagine it\u2019s 14 weeks from now and this project didn\u2019t work. What went wrong?\u201d People mostly mentioned teamwork and scope.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To answer the question: \u201cWhat energizes you at work?\u201d Some people are outcome-oriented, while others place an emphasis on morale.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirmed temporary \u201ccore hours\u201d as well as the semester\u2019s \u201ccore hours\u201d\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Definition of \u201ccore hours\u201d: 25 hours where all teammates are present, sitting in their desks at the ETC, and working both collaboratively and independently on this project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirmed weekly meeting time with our advisors, <a href=\"https:\/\/etc.cmu.edu\/about\/our-people\/faculty-staff\/john-dessler\">John Dessler<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/etc.cmu.edu\/about\/our-people\/faculty-staff\/moshe-mahler\">Moshe Mahler<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Week 1: January 12-16, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Learning about 3DGS (3D Gaussian Splatting) Definition: Unlike traditional polygon-based 3D modeling, which struggles with complex textures, Gaussian splatting uses a network of translucent blobs \u2014 Gaussians \u2014 to render objects.
