The game should be based in environmental fact and research, yet inspire users to learn more and take action in local communities.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We proposed 2 environmental topics as our focus in the presentation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li><strong>Biodegradable pods for burial <\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><img width=\"589px;\" height=\"331px;\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/ehlflwvo9IZUOXNDtgpQMsB3FAHKgPwKSJH1Bdids6h5S0cH9P02bmGVrvK-LS3t4uw0S7g8eNCkViQsZdS7hm0k4zxK6ggHvpz-FV-0mq3z64yCVSJUxbVVeel3GQ6ahlVwRA-8pp3n\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Biodegradable pods for dead bodies that can be used as compost for growing trees.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2017\/05\/03\/world\/eco-solutions-capsula-mundi\/index.html\">https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2017\/05\/03\/world\/eco-solutions-capsula-mundi\/index.html<\/a><\/li><li>Change<ul><li>\u00a0Encouraging the audience to deviate from conventional burials and invest for a more eco-friendly burials.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Barriers\u00a0<ul><li>Religious practices and beliefs (Ex. Judaism, Islam)<\/li><li>People don\u2019t talk\/think about death or the preparation of death (Ex. a new concept of graveyards)<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.Thrifting, Fabric Efficiency <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img width=\"578px;\" height=\"325px;\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/smiydHEouzUT_ukNNnStF7qkyH2vN3KoVKDkc240m2p5apoFqX_LxMa_Clh5-RpbShAu2auQD9qu2xuHZNU5_rth1Ql75qgq5Fcnj5eryLK_rvUG7jYhW-T2SNwNvM1BL1xJrYwolinK\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Why?\u00a0<ul><li>Fabric waste is one of the biggest contributors to air and water pollution.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Change<ul><li>Change how people buy and recycling clothes.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Barriers\u00a0<ul><li>People do not know how to recycle fabric<\/li><li>Trend and fast fashion (Ex.Zara)\u00a0<\/li><li>Access to high quality clothes (Ex.Patagonia)<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Our thoughts on platform\/technology were as listed below : <br><\/strong><meta charset=\"utf-8\"><br><meta charset=\"utf-8\"><li>Thinking technologies and platforms as the means to deliver our transformational experience to fulfill two goals: <strong>Bridge Connections<\/strong> and <strong>Foster Sense of Community<\/strong>.<\/li><br><li>Multiplayer experience will be a good way to achieve these two goals, either asynchronous or synchronous.<\/li><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Here are the useful feedbacks that we took note of from the faculties during the walkarounds: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Strongly encourage app to run in web browser on phone vs ios or android store, <br><meta charset=\"utf-8\">&#8211; Find out what we need (<a href=\"https:\/\/mobilehtml5.org\/\">Mobile HTML5 compatibility on iPhone, Android, Windows Phone, BlackBerry, Firefox OS and other mobile devices<\/a>)<br><meta charset=\"utf-8\">&#8211; Be sure to be in constant communication with the client; get tests to them as soon as possible.<br>&#8211; Anticipate things that can go wrong with tech in regards to the conference; test stuff early!<br>&#8211; Thinking about game mechanics in tandem with the topic.<br>&#8211; Providing options for someone who already has environmental awareness with?<br><meta charset=\"utf-8\">&#8211; Go with something that\u2019s more immediate to everyone\u2019s lives.<br><meta charset=\"utf-8\">&#8211; Hard to get people to connect with things on a bigger level; people can make a change during lunch, while they\u2019re shopping, etc<br>-Textiles appeals to a much larger audience and has less specific and challenging barriers.<br>-If we can get it working on WebGL rather than working on iOS it will be more accessible and to test without dealing with the issues around iOS licensing.<br>&#8211; The goal of having people change is very hard!
