About EcoVision

EcoVision is a student-developed VR project that shows how small actions can help the environment. In the game, players explore nature, interact with ecosystems, and see how their everyday choices can affect the world around them.
Many people feel that environmental problems are too big to solve alone. EcoVision challenges this idea by letting players experience the power of individual actions through hands-on, immersive gameplay.
This project is part of Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center (ETC) and is guided by Professor Jessica Hammer from the Center for Transformational Play (CTP). It builds on the ideas explored in the 2022 ETC project Ecotopia, continuing the conversation around environmental education through play.
Our goal is to turn awareness into action. EcoVision encourages players to start action from their own backyard, showing that even small steps can lead to a more sustainable future.
