Client meeting:
The final winner among the candidates is the bald eagle. But here’s the progress of how we made it happen.
During the first week, we listed 6 animal candidates. This week, we narrowed the list down to having 3 candidates for clients to choose.
The reason we chose these three candidates is that they are distinct from each other, both in their living environments and in the way they move. With these traits, we will have more room to develop interesting gameplay.
Storyboard:
This is the first storyboard we created for the game. We considered the following Climate Change Elements that could be added into the storytelling/gameplay:
- Migration from Canada to United States.
- Droughts causing the loss of water and the loss of food (fish in the river).
- Mountain fires forced them to move.
Moodboard:
We discussed the art style we wanted to make for this game. Because this is a VR game, we want to keep the models low-poly yet stylized.
