We received positive feedback from the playtesters, as well as some valuable feedback. We had the opportunity to thoroughly test out our current experience with many groups of players.\u00a0<\/p><p>We went into the playtest day with particular goals in mind. Mainly, we wanted to see player&#8217;s reaction and feedback to:<\/p><ul><li>Tutorial Section<\/li><li>UI clarity<\/li><li>Gameplay and narrative<\/li><\/ul><p>We created a survey that targets these areas and organized the feedback from the collected surveys:<\/p><p><strong>Tutorial Section Feedback:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Player were able to get and make use of most of the mechanics<\/span><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Boost and Front flip helped with navigation significantly<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Player enjoyed doing tricks<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Player was not able to get Double Jump -&gt; Advanced trick -&gt; Outfit game flow<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tutorial section could reinforce each mechanics more<\/span><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Player tend to forget either boost or flip when encountering the first difficult obstacle<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Tutorial Section Next Steps:<\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For advanced trick:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Simplify advanced trick mechanics: rapid tap -&gt; hold<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add visual indicator to remind player of advanced tricks after a double jump<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add visual indicator for the progress of an advanced trick<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For tutorial section:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spread out the tutorials more and give player more \u201chand holding\u201d<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><strong>UI Feedback and Next Steps:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The collection UI needed to be more clarified<\/span><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use the shape of in-game models<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Change to colored image once player collects an item<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Differentiate Coins and Cheers with color<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Gameplay and Narrative Feedback:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">People were able to get the goal of the game<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Player were not too sure about where the performance stage was, or if they saw it they weren\u2019t sure what the purpose was<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Gameplay and Narrative Next Steps:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More guidance to the stage<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once illustrations are implemented, player should have a better understanding of the overall goal<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p>We also received overwhelming positive feedback.
