Here&#8217;s a quick rundown of the feedback and next steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Positive Feedback:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Target Age Group<\/strong>: Our desired demographic (college students) responded well to the content and understood the narrative beats.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Narrative Engagement<\/strong>: Players connected with the emotional themes and storyline.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Concern:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Knowledge Gap<\/strong>: The game resonated more with players who had prior knowledge of gentrification. Some players struggled to engage, getting distracted or missing key points.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Areas for Improvement:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Gameplay Controls<\/strong>: Some input controls need to be simplified for better ease of use.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bug Fixes<\/strong>: Players experienced issues with falling through the environment, which needs to be addressed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Environment Aesthetics<\/strong>: The apartment needs more texturing to feel lived-in and authentic.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Interaction Design<\/strong>: Certain design interactions need to be made more intuitive to improve the user experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Moving Forward:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We\u2019ll refine the narrative to make it more accessible for players unfamiliar with gentrification while maintaining its depth for those who are informed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We\u2019ll also address the gameplay, bug fixes, and environmental improvements to enhance the overall experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our current plan is to keep moving forward with Production with the new plan. We intend to make our build for Softs our &#8220;Almost&#8221; final build. With that in mind we made deliverables that we present to Mike and Heather (Our Instructors) and playtest every chance we get. <br><br>We also decided this week to develop the outside of the apartment, to show the changing neighborhoods.
