Finals

Welcome to our final post from IGT-Lab!

As we had planned from the previous week, we successfully hosted 2 game jam teams, and including the game that we had created as a way to verify our prototyping pipeline, we ended up with 3 short, simple games that can be played inside our platform.

  1. Pinball Game: Two front seat passengers must press two buttons at the same time to activate the flippers and destroy the objects in front of the car.
  2. Memory Game: Four passenger are assigned a color. The must count the correct number of the colored objects along the side of the road. Upon reaching the end of a block, they must press the button # of times equal to the # they have counted.
  3. Button Mash Game: Each passenger controls their side of the wheel. When two front passengers mash the button together, the car moves forward, and when the rear two passengers mash their buttons together, the car moves backward. When the left side passengers mash their buttons, the car rotates right, and vice versa.

Based on our game jam, we were able to prove the robustness and verify the effectiveness of our prototyping pipeline, from Unity template set up to deploying to Isotope running our hardware platform.

We hope that this flexible platform finds future students who will be able to develop and test various mobility related experiences and games, and take this platform further.
