Getting ready for 1/4s Walkarounds
Starting with a team meeting and brainstorming about our core interaction mechanics, we’ve designed a list of sprints to execute before the midpoint milestone. These include but are not limited to technical prototype, interaction gold spike, and art style development.
List of Sprints
- Windows/ 3D floor painting
- Building up environment
- Magic lens (physical/ virtual)
- Gesture recognition
We’ve searched for visual references as our artistic moodboard, serving also as some interaction references.

Presentation & Demo
During the presentation, we demoed our first gold-spike prototype from week 1.

Gold spike#0 //core mechanics:
- pick up the illuminating ball with the butterfly
- walk close to the window (the windows actually exist in the real world, and are registered in the virtual world inside the headset)
- move around the ball and interact with the world outside the window
- interact with the creature (eye-gaze, high five, light up the space)
After the live-demonstration with the interactions first try on, we proposed 5-6 pieces of core information about this project:

Gathering and managing feedback and inspirations from the presentation, the team is moving on to our sprints phase next week.
