This week we started with demoing and reflections, putting on the headset, interacting with the virtual & physical environment, thinking about what would bring a better experience.
We refined the design of the stepping stones, making them larger, appearing gradually one by one. This could serve as an indirect control for future design. Team met with faculty advisor Carl, to playtest and discuss our current prototypes.
Sprint 2
- Platforms up and down – the next platform will show up to indicate the player’s next step
- Word puzzle – rearrange the characters order via lightening up the characters
- Camera – use camera to see the hidden words
- Flashlight – use flashlight to find hidden objects, lighten up the surroundings

Playtest feedback:
- love the floor with tiles to step on
- Love looking out to the window
- Flashlight with the atmosphere to see where the light is going
- Also could be used to track things
- Maybe Ultraviolet light?
- The demo Cylinder wasn’t oriented exactly with the hand moving
- Case in siggraph: virtual poetry + physical cylinder, a real box + a screen on top + hand tracking inside the box -> shown on the screen= cylinder is still the cylinder, the virtual poetry is changing
- compelling of how the brain will trick you
Team Bonding!

ToDo-
- Project consultant meeting
- More Playtest- playtest night TUES
- The Ball experiment in VR
- Sprint interaction: pull out from the floor, wall crack
