
Week 03
This week is about 1/4, team bounding, and Junkyard field trip.
Key event
This week we were preparing for our 1/4 presentation as the picture shows in the right hand side. We were able to receive lots of good feedbacks from the faculty team as we can move forward for our project.

Overall weekly progress
This week we have been preparing for the quarter presentation on Wednesday. As a team, we have also gathered for team bonding in the Jazz bar on Thursday, and we went to the Junkyard to scan items for the first scene on Friday. We plan to go visit the house we plan to shoot by Saturday.
Progress in different department
PRODUCTION
On the production side, Samantha and Selena met with Shirley (about hiring people), Issac (Actor), Jaehee (Alumni), Derek (asking him for advice related to our progress so far and our future plan), and called the junkyard. Still waiting for the casting director to respond. We have created the project description. Reminds Felix and Jose regarding the poster and logo. Create team bonding events for the team. Week 1 and 2 blogs on the website were finished.
NARRATIVE
On the narrative side, a joint meeting between Jose, Samantha and Felix proved to be a major step forward in incorporating all the disciplines while designing for a innovative blend of narrative+ interactivity.



INTERACTION
On the story and UX side, Samantha was able to create an emotional map for the story so that Felix could refine the interaction mode we had based on that. Samantha, Felix, and Jose also were able to form small meetings discussing the verbs we needed for the story. Jose was able to create the physical storyboard model to test out the visual guidance in Cavern.
ART
On the art side, Lucy was able to scan her head and Selena’s head to test the workflow of customizing the metahuman model and she is refining them. Lucy, Selena, and Grace also met with Tom to discuss his experience and advice on photogrammetry. After the scanning trip from the junkyard, she organized the models and put them into the virtual scene.







TECH
On the Tech side, Grace was trying to implement the camera with the body tracking system in Cavern. We went into some hardware issues with the camera setup in Cavern but she will look into that more. She also edited the code for the Unity asset.
