Week 04
This week is about looking at the location and lock up the story and interaction.
Key event
This Saturday and last Saturday we were able to visit the house that we wanted our film to take place. We have joined their music night, and was able to receive a tour of the house. We planed to use the living room area to the kitchen and a guest bedroom for our shots. We will be going to the house to test shoot for next Saturday with one of our actor.

Overall weekly progress
This week we have been working on refining the story and interaction. We were able to get the Cavern camera working. We plan to go visit the house we plan to shoot this Saturday. During our weekly meeting, we were able to decide on what to present for our ½ presentation:
- Playtest feedback from our prototype
- A test footage of our prototype in the Cavern with one workable camera tracking the audience
- Get real actors and test shoot scene 17
Progress in different department
PRODUCTION
On the production side, we met with the house owner Alex. We will discuss details of when and how we plan to shoot. During the week, we were able to reschedule for the upcoming Saturday for revisiting the house and test shooting. Lucy was able to set up a notion page for documentation. We were able to create the casting call/role description for Chris and the casting director, and we will follow up with them next week.
Poster and logo were confirmed by Shirley, still need to create the half sheet. Week 1 to 3 blogs on the website were finished.
NARRATIVE and CINEMATOGRAPHY
On the narrative side, small meetings about the narrative and interaction between Samantha, Felix, and Jose will end on Friday. They will organize a document about the results of those meetings and have a new script by Monday. Specifically, they were able to revise the scene structure and discussed/brainstormed major elements for scene where NOVA is built/put together by Julianà and communicated VFX needs to Lucy.
On the cinematography side, Samantha and Jose were able to test shoot for scenes according to the storyboard.

INTERACTION
On the interaction side, Felix was able to add more details based on the storyboard Lucy did and revised the scene structure:

ART
On the art side, Lucy made a storyboard of some key moments in the story which later becomes the fundament of Samantha, Jose and Felix’s discussion around the narrative and interaction.:

TECH
On the tech side, Grace was able to secure tracking of people using Cavern cameras. Grace is taking assets from the CAVERN Unity template and creating a new scene. I also set up the canvas to have to double the videos to meet the CAVERN requirements. This is what the scene looks like now:

Grace was also able to draw diagrams to visualize the best way to create the hierarchy of the main scripts. Here’s the diagram I drew that was digitized by Felix:

The camera and the body tracking now works on the Cavern. Thanks to Victor for being a test subject:
