Week 7: Halves

Half way? Already!? It might seem crazy but we already halfway through the semester. This week, Mic Check presented our progress to Entertainment Technology faculty and student body. It was live streamed so check it out!
The live demo we conducted turned out really well! We are super proud and grateful that we took the risk to make the presentation interesting. So far, we’ve recieve very positive feedback from the faculty and our project instructors.

Tueday Night Playtest:
In addition, we went back to Tuesday Night Playtest at Hunt Library. Unforunately, we didn’t collect too much feedback. The playtesters seems less motivated to engage in conversation with the AI opponent and create rhyming words in the battle.
We were hoping to get feedback on the iterations to the personality profile but instead we decided that we really need to focus on onboarding players to our game. If we provide an engaging way for players to understand the game goal and how to play, then we believe that we can increase the average motivation of the player.

Next Steps:
Next week is spring break, but were are looking ahead to keep this project on track. We’re working on setting a playtest Week 8 to keep us motivated. We are also outlining the schedule for the rest of the semester as we go on.
