Week 4: Technical disruption

This week we faced technological challenges for colocation and shared spatial anchor in mixed reality.

Programming

Our tech team faced challenges this week, primarily focused on the shared anchor problem in our technology. To address this, we are planning to reach out to experienced developers in multiplayer mixed-reality game development. Currently, we are in the process of scheduling appointments with industry experts to seek guidance. In response to issues with hand tracking, we made the strategic decision to transition to the Photon Fusion API.

Art

In our latest development blog update, our artistic focus has been primarily on the creation of the second character, with collaboration with the animator for rigging the fire-type monster.

Alongside this, we created environment assets with textures. The technical artist worked on developing shader that align with our project’s defined art direction.

At the same time, our user experience designer has been creating a design system tailored for the mixed reality watch interface.
