As we are putting everything together into the VR and kept updating it, we have more opportunities to actually playtest our game with our guests.

Updates: Art- Rover wheels

Lander

The team had a detailed discussion with our client to make sure we are on the right track of designing the minerals on the moon, which is one of the crucial features in this game. We took the reference images from our client, working from the technical and artistic perspectives, providing several selection questions for the client to pick their preferences. 

For the digging process, each mineral has 3 stages.

Water Ice – Shape: Flat & Layered

– Color: colorful inside with a coat outside

Aluminum – Shape with some crystal on the surface

– Color: Iron-like

Silicone – Shape: Round, Concave

– Color: Silver with a bit milky white

Titanium – Shape: medium sharp

– Color: Iridescent with shiny silver

These instructions and decisions definitely help the team moving forward in more clear directions. And the artist started right after with some basic models.
