Some feedback from playtests<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  7. Map: unlocking different areas-mining <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    According to the playtest feedback, many players would like to choose the camera distance from the rover by themselves. Some want it to be closer while others want it to be further away. As a result we came up with the Camera settings: close up camera adds to the immersion and at the same time makes the player feel more like exploring, while further camera angle lets the players gather more information, and avoid having motion sickness. Players will be able to choose their preferred camera distance in the settings.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    During the playtest, we also noticed that the experience balance between the rover driver and robotic arm operator needs to be adjusted. The driving part is throughout the whole game, thus the rover drivers are taking a predominant position in the gameplay, and will take more part in the game than the arm operator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The solution we came up with is :the arm operator can scan and know the location of the minerals while the driver cannot, so the arm operator can communicate with the driver to go for the mineral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In order to let the players feel a better sense of ownership, we came up with the personalization system. Players will be able to name their rovers, color the part of the rover they control, and even naming and coloring the settlement they build\u00a0 together.\u00a0
