Game Jam Submissions
We ended up getting 3 submissions for PAT Game Jam! The participants each made unique, weird and exciting stuff, despite only given 24 hours!
Yuchen’s Submission:

Yuchen made a game where you need to actively dodge the boss’ attacks to channel multiple times. You don’t defeat the boss by fighting back, but through pacifying it with magic spells! In the end there is also a chair both you and boss can sit on.

Shiwei’s Submission:

Shiwei made a traditional action game, where the penguin uses Cloud Strife’s weapon (and sound) and defeats the robot boss in style.

Bryan’s Submission:

Bryan made a weird game where you slash different Chinese characters to make different combinations of words that result in different attack combos.

Publish!
Earlier in November we submitted our package to Unity Asset Store for review. :

As of November 29, we went live in Asset Store!!

You can now find us by searching “Penguin ARPG Toolkit” directly. We are also getting some traffic and downloads over the past week:

Future: GDC
Now that the semester is ending, we are wrapping up the project and delivering a relatively finished package with matching tutorials, documentation to the public. We are also looking into opportunities to get more traction, exposure in the future. The first thing we considered is to showcase our toolkit and connect with more developers at GDC 2025. We are reaching out to GDC officials and also considering using ETC booth for demonstration. We will also look into a plan about continuous support for our toolkit after the semester ends, depending on amount of downloads and new members in the discord channel we get.
This is probably the end of our Dev Blogs. Thank you so much for reading and sharing this amazing ride with us.
