We implemented the tutorial part for demo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading alignwide\">Current Schedule<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Complete the tutorials in the first island<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Process grade meeting with instructor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading alignwide\">What went well<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Finish programming player select cards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finish the geography of the first island<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading alignwide\">Issues for support<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>None<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading alignwide\">Design Update<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the design of the beginning of the game when player enters the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>The PixoLock tree<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No beginning, no end, with root unknown<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One must seek that place on the crown form which, having once gone, one never returns<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And gather back all scattered keys, unveil all hidden secrets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thus freed form illusion and fallible situations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cracker, may the cards be your hands, tools, and orientations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p> The mystical PixoLock tree stands as a metaphor for the complex yet intriguing realm of cryptography, setting the stage for the adventure that unfolds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading alignwide\">Art Update<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The design is a floating island with intertwining circuit boards. This duality is aimed at visually echoing the game\u2019s underlying theme of melding the natural with the digital. In sculpting the island, the low-poly 3D art style was employed to achieve a balance between the organic contours of trees and the geometric precision of circuit boards. The idea is to evoke a sense of intrigue and exploration as players traverse through the island, solving cryptographic challenges along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/projects.etc.cmu.edu\/picolock\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Screenshot-2023-09-26-140407-1024x759.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-107\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading alignwide\">Programming Update<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Card Interaction Mechanism:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>We\u2019ve implemented a feature where hitting the &#8220;Tab&#8221; key will toggle the appearance and disappearance of the in-game cards, which are crucial for progressing through cryptographic challenges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Players can now use the &#8220;Q&#8221; or &#8220;E&#8221; keys to shuffle through these cards, with the card situated in the middle being the selected one.
