This week marks the Half Presentation. We further refined the animatics, directly adjusted the music and timing in Unreal Engine, and updated our models before rendering the latest version. Due to the cavern’s unique screen ratio, the rendered video appears distorted on a regular computer, so we spliced footage from the cavern itself with video of the dancers recording their motion capture to give the audience a clearer view of our work.
We prioritized modeling the kitchen scene to help the audience better understand our art style. After several iterations, this is the final room layout.
We also made progress in the other two worlds. Here’s an example of the cloud effect Bonny created, along with some light particle effects for the universe.
Additionally, we’ve developed a physical water effect for the orange juice forest.
We hope these visual elements will enrich the fantasy scenes and allow the characters to interact more dynamically with the environment, rather than having the scenes function solely as background plates.
