It\u2019s been a busy week so far. Here is what the team has been up to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Portal System<\/strong>. Dennis<\/strong> has successfully implemented world-rendering through the camera, meaning players can now peek through a portal and see the world on the other side. To top it off, he\u2019s finished the opening animations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gameplay loop is getting much tighter. Victor<\/strong> has officially wrapped up the UI integration, giving us a much cleaner way to interact with the game. He\u2019s currently pivoting to enemy implementation and the “save” logic for inventory systems. Speaking of enemies, Azu<\/strong> has completed the base character classes for both players and NPCs, handing off the enemy NPC class to Victor to begin the AI integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Level design is in full swing. Jialan<\/strong> finished the player identity settings and has moved straight into the greyboxing phase. Azu<\/strong> is assisting with the greybox assets and has implemented moving platforms<\/strong> to add some verticality and challenge to the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the levels are being blocked out, the “soul” of the game is being written. Jialan<\/strong> is currently drafting the world-building documents and preparing the concept drawings that will eventually replace our greybox blocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A game is only as immersive as its audio. Frida<\/strong> has been hard at work crafting the atmosphere. While the portal sounds are ready to go, she is currently perfecting the sound effects for our Bell Monster<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
