We had our softs presentation this week and we received an overall positive feedback on our gameplay and visual elements for our level.
We also received some narrative related feedback and we found that showing the final goal of the level more clearly is something we could do better in the future.
What we did this week?
Programming:
- Gameplay:
- Added ending and credits after finishing boss fight
- Added new side quests and reward: 20/60 coins to get new clothes
- Polished tutorial contents in Gym level
- Polished parts of the sequences in Act1 and Act4
- Fixed small gameplay and UI bugs
- Prepared for the live demo and final presentation
Level Design:
- We replaced the blockout cubes used in acts with rocks to make the level feel less blocky.
Things to do for next week:
- Start making the final presentation
- Decide on how to show the final outcome for the project
