Our focus was on laying down the foundation for the semester: getting to know each other, understanding everyone\u2019s strengths and goals, setting up how we would work together, and beginning our research into the RIFTS IP. By the end of the week, we had our team identity in place (Questweavers), our basic production setup established (with Miro + Notion), and several early directions ready to bring into Week 2 for pitching and discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Weekly Focus<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-large-font-size\">\n<li>Kick off the team and establish roles, core hours, meeting schedules, and working structure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarize ourselves with the RIFTS IP and begin narrowing our research<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare three early game ideas to pitch and discuss in the following week<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Progress Update<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-text-annotation has-medium-font-size is-style-text-annotation--1\"><strong>Production<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-checkmark-list has-medium-font-size\">\n<li>Confirmed the team name and team roles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Chose the preferred game engine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set up shared working spaces and production organization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Completed early setup requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-text-annotation has-medium-font-size is-style-text-annotation--2\"><strong>Design<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-checkmark-list has-medium-font-size\">\n<li>Began researching the RIFTS setting and source materials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Narrowed down exploration into three main ideas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Started discussing possible project directions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aligned on entering Week 2 with multiple options ready for selection<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-text-annotation has-medium-font-size is-style-text-annotation--3\"><strong>Art<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-checkmark-list has-medium-font-size\">\n<li>Gathered early visual references from the RIFTS materials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Explored possible tones and moods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Began forming early design ideas from the RIFTS setting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Notes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">As this week was mostly a foundation-building week, our most important outcome was making sure the team was aligned and the production setup was in place. By the end of the week, we were still exploring multiple directions for the actual level design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Next<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Finalize
