We are RobLearnX, six students from the Entertainment Technology Center. This semester we are collaborating with Roblox to explore assessment methods for educational projects in Roblox. We will research different educational assessment methods and apply those methods to Roblox.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Team Member<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our team members include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yincheng Qiu &#8211; Producer, Game Designer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zizhuo(Joy) Wang &#8211; Assistant Producer, Artist<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chao Li &#8211; Game Designer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yutao(Tao) Huang &#8211; Game Designer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Haiyun(Yoon) Wu &#8211; UI\/UX Designer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yingxuan(Jennifer) Liao &#8211; Programmer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And instructors, Ruth Comley and John Dessler<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Initial Client Meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We met our client Genevieve from Roblox. For the client requirements, we will be using Roblox studio to design Prototypes that could help educational developers better assess learning. We will find specific learning standards and explore how to design the game to teach that standard<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Learning Standards\/Subjects<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We currently thinking about Science and History as the subjects for our demo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are some learning standards we use as references:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nextgenscience.org\/search-standards\">list of standards here<\/a> ; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.corestandards.org\/read-the-standards\/\">common core<\/a> ; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nextgenscience.org\/pe\/hs-ls4-2-biological-evolution-unity-and-diversity\">HS-LS4-2 Biological Evolution: Unity and Diversity<\/a> ; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stateboard.education.pa.gov\/Documents\/Regulations%20and%20Statements\/State%20Academic%20Standards\/E%20HISTORY%20web03.pdf\">Pennsylvania History Standards<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Target Audience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our target audience includes two groups: the target audience for our design document will be Roblox and educators. The target audience for our education game prototype will be students around the age of 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next week we will narrow down the tasks and research on Education Assessment.
