Vivian Chen

Yunqi(Vivian) Chen is a game designer and producer working at the intersection of human–computer interaction, narrative systems, and experiential design. She is currently pursuing her MFA at the Entertainment Technology Center. Yunqi is particularly interested in exploring the space between technology and storytelling, creating speculative installations, immersive environments, and multisensory game worlds. Through interactive media, she examines how humans relate to systems, machines, and one another.

Yufei Chen

I am a student at the ETC with a background in traditional art and 3D art. I earned my bachelor’s degree in art from the University of Washington. At my time during the ETC, I developed my skills in 3D modeling, got to create various environments, characters and more. For our project, my goal is to create art assets that not only meet technical and aesthetic standards but also resonate emotionally with guest, bringing them an immersive experience with the VR medium.

Erin Hao

Erin Hao is an artist and designer who is passionate about narrative interaction and visual storytelling. She earned her BFA in illustration at RISD, where she focused on concept design, visual development and 3D pipeline in games and animation. She is currently pursuing her graduate studies at CMU ETC in Entertainment Technology, where she has been working on multiple interdisciplinary projects. She is especially enthusiastic about designing immersive gameplay and visuals that seamlessly embeds narratives.

Aiden He

Le(Aiden) He is a game designer and 3D environment artist with a background in game development and interactive media. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Games from the University of Utah. His work explores interactive experiences through environment design, spatial composition, and visual storytelling. He is especially interested in how physical interaction and environmental design can influence player emotion and immersion.

Field Luo

Xulun Luo is a creative technologist for entertainment with a dual background in Film and Computer Science from NYU. He applies AI, robotics, VR/AR, and real-time systems to film production, game design, and innovative entertainment experiences. With hands-on production experience across 50+ film crews as gaffer and grip, he brings both technical expertise and deep industry knowledge to prototyping tools and pipelines at CMU’s Entertainment Technology Center. He is especially passionate about building robust systems that bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and production-ready workflows, empowering creators to push the boundaries of interactive storytelling.

KX Shuai

Hi! I’m Kexiang (KX) Shuai, a developer specializing in Unity-based Game and XR applications. With an additional skillset in front-end web development and a track record of HCI publications, I bridge the gap between technical implementation and user experience.

Currently a Master’s student at CMU’s Entertainment Technology Center (ETC), I am pivoting my focus toward Engine Tool Development and Multiplayer Networking. I am driven by the challenge of building impactful, user-centric systems within highly collaborative pipelines.
