Week 07

Halves Presentation

This week, our main focus was preparing for and presenting our Halves Presentation.

We used this milestone to bring together the work from the first half of the semester and communicate a clearer story around STAiGE: the classroom challenge we are addressing, why drama-based learning matters, how our design logic works, and how teachers move from lesson content to a complete theatrical learning experience. During the presentation, we introduced our current prototype and demonstrated the teacher workflow, including lesson input, class setup, editable scripts, 3D show flow, and separate teacher and student views. We also shared how playtest feedback has influenced the design, particularly around teacher control and clearer stage communication. Looking Ahead

Halves also helped us clarify what we still need to learn.

For the second half of the semester, our focus will shift toward more testing with teachers and students, refining the end-to-end experience, and validating where STAiGE can be most useful in a real classroom. We will continue iterating toward our ETC Playtest, Soft Opening, and final proof of concept.
