We were able to meet with our faculty advisors, Mike Christel and Ricardo Washington, as well as our client, John Balash. Through our initial talks, we have gotten direction as to how we should be approaching this project.<\/p>\n<p>But what is this project? This project is for the <b>Collaboratory Against Hate<\/b>&nbsp;where we will create a <b>Role Playing Game (RPG)<\/b> that addresses <b>Racial Bias<\/b> and <b>Racial Abuse<\/b>. This game is meant specifically for 8th graders and will be evaluated during the spring for how well it achieves transforming and informing its audience.<\/p><p>To reflect the team&#8217;s mission, we have chosen to move forward with the name <b>STEMspire<\/b>&nbsp;as the name of our team. This name is taken from some of our goals, which are centered around inspiring individuals to pursue their interests even in the face of adversity.<\/p><p>Our core hours have the whole team together Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with Advisor and Client meetings scheduled Monday and Friday respectively.
