The programmers decided to move forward with the pretrained machine learning model. They also spent the week allowing them to make the playtestable version. The playtest demo has three functions, the basic UI layout<\/p>\n\n\n\n
UI\/UX Designer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Peter and Tiange did playtests with the current version of the UI. With the help of the programmers, they were able to have a basic function with their UI overlaid into the application. Having the users playtest the app, they then were asked a series of questions at the end of the experience to gauge their understanding of the application. After this, the two UI Designers created two more versions of the UI from what they gained. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
- Some insights they gained from the playtests include:
- Challenges
- Do not know what to do when they enter the game
- No instructions or UI<\/li>
- No awareness of objects<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
- Users do not know they should walk and explore
- No hints on scannable objects<\/li>
- Stay in the start place and scan random things<\/li>
- Users do not know they can scan<\/li>
- Users do not know they are scanning the object if no UI<\/li>
- Try to scan unscannable objects and no hint<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
- Character make them confused
- Do not know why and how the character appears<\/li>
- Cannot be interacted with<\/li>
- Instead of standing there and watch the performance, users tend to get close to them and thought they can have some interactions<\/li>
- Nothing happens after each performance<\/li>
- How to disappear after each performance or users would think they should stay with the character because there are anything they did not finish<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li>
