Time: 11/7-11/13

Production:

This Friday, we welcomed Ray as she fully recovered from COVID and returned to the project in-person. With her back on the team this week, we were able to get back to our pace and re-iterate the demos for Carmilla, La MaMa Collage, playbill, and UI.

Next week, we would head to New York again to playtest at La MaMa Archive and get footage for video documentation.

Design:

UX design for the playbills at the start of the experiences was iterated by Jingyuan and Ray. Below are examples for La Marie Vison and Na Haaz Zan. Some missing information will be replaced with text by next week.

Art/UI:

A new set of UI was designed by Ray and was to be implemented during the following weeks.

UI design by 11/14

Programming:

The stabilization problem for Carmilla was solved by cutting down frame rates of refreshing the face position in the real world. If you compare this week’s demo to last week’s, you can see a clear improvement in stabilizing the two characters.

The fancy flying animation of the photos has been added to the Collage demo. Although the sizes and number of photos would be iterated in the future, the photos would fly from the collage to your phone.
