Designer’s Notes From Trinity
To prepare for playtest:
We should learn from arcade machines, which greet the players with something that is already playing.
Important Update
We have the cat.

Weekly Update
Welcome to our Week 11 update! This week has been focused on introducing exciting new playable features, refining existing mechanics, and solidifying our post-halves production schedule.
This Week’s Highlights
This week included two important scheduled events:
- Playtest Night: Held on Tuesday (11/11) from 6-8 PM at Hunts Library. We were looking for one more helper to join the session.
- Team Meeting: A meeting with Shirley was scheduled for Wednesday (11/12) from 1:30-2:00 PM in ETC Room 3424.
Playtest Night Plan
This week we plan to playtest a new level: Level 401.
It is designed to be “more of a puzzle-solving experience” according to the team.
Art and Production Status
Art Updates
- A new cat model has been textured and rigged.
- The next step for the art team is to complete the animation for the cat.
- Scene Art is currently a Work In Progress (WIP).
- Sound effects (SFX) are also being developed, including rotating and ambient BGM.
Bugs and Fixes
We are working to fix the slingshot controller which is currently not working when the scale is not set to (1,1,1).
Post-Halves Production Schedule
The team has outlined the plan for the remainder of the project:
- Art: Four weeks are allocated to “wrap things up”.
- Interaction & Programming: This is split into two weeks for exploration and two weeks for wrap-up.
- Promotion: This is a crucial phase, where we will plan and shoot our final project video, and the project website needs to be completed.
Exciting Features About to Be Made
Looking ahead, we have several ambitious new features planned:
| Platform | Feature | Imagined Use Case |
| Mobile | Voice (volume) to Wind Power to blow up the cat. | The VR player activates fixed wind blower machines. The Mobile player uses their phone to provide the power, and the PC player is raised by the wind. |
| Mobile | Redirect Laser with Shield. | The Mobile player and the PC player must work together to redirect a laser, activating platforms that allow the VR player to move forward. |
| VR | Ride the Cat. | The VR player can shrink to smaller size which perfectly rides on the cat |
