Week 9 – Creating Tunnels

Half the team is out at GDC learning a lot! Meanwhile, Cynthia, Jasmine, and Skye were working on the experience. Jasmine worked on recreating YC’s final design of the playfield in Unity, while Cynthia and Skye worked on recreating their concept sketches into assets. Skye also created the tunnels that are in the final design, and Jasmine was able to program them in the experience.

After seeing the new playfield design, the team opted to switch the view from being completely top-down to a 2.5D view. This allows for the 3D models to shine while also giving a similar feel to traditional pinball

Parts for our experience also arrived this week, including our box that we intend to use to reinforce the plunger. After YC, William and I return from GDC, we will be able to help reinforce the plunger and help polish our game in time for Playtest Day on March 29th.
