About Us

Hi! We are team Xhaler, a team of 5 graduate students at the Entertainment Technology Center of Carnegie Mellon University. We’re glad you’re here.

Our team is creating a VR adventure game that uses breathing as a core mechanic to enhance immersion and interactivity. Through this project, we’re exploring the potential of breath-based interaction in games, using tools like a wind sensor and a respiration belt as alternative input devices.
