Tao earned his degree in Computer Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. He enjoys applying theories to real-world problems, and game development offers him the perfect blend of creativity and technology. He is also interested in cutting-edge technologies that shape next-generation immersive experiences. At the ETC, Tao aspires to grow into a programmer who understands gameplay, real-time graphics, and game engines. He is excited to work with creative teams to bring their innovative visions to life. His goal is to help deliver exciting experiences in ways that are intuitive, scalable, and maintainable.

Jessica Li

Producer, Technical Artist

Jessica is a technical artist specializing in real-time rendering, shaders, animation systems, and art asset development, building scalable tools and pipelines across game engines and DCCs.

Steven Wang

Technical Designer

Steven Wang is a technical designer with 2 years of Unity AR developing experience. He is familiar with user experiences in MR spaces. He worked with multiple teams including UI/UX, network interfaces, CV algorithms and native function teams. He is optimistic and can learn new things fast by analogy. He is also interested in game design, playtesting, AR/VR and AI games.

An aspiring technical artist, transitioning from architecture design to virtual world building through exploration of computer graphics and game techniques.

Weiyi Zhang

Gameplay Programmer

Weiyi graduated in computer science major, with a minor in Human-Computer Interaction. His experience covers game development, accessible technology, and AI applications. Some of his projects were adopted by industry clients and applied in real-world scenarios. In addition to programming, he is also experienced in digital media technologies, thus he loves working with artists and is very familiar with their workflow. His dream is to use technical skills combined with creativity to contribute to promising entertainment projects together with talented co-workers.

Derek Ham is the Director of Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center, where he leads innovative research and collaborative projects at the intersection of technology, design and storytelling. With a deep commitment to fostering creativity and advancing the future of interactive entertainment, Derek brings a wealth of experience as a designer, teacher and leader in the fields of virtual reality, augmented reality and immersive media.
