ByteMX

ByteMX is an Entertainment Technology Center (ETC) Project for Fall 2025 that comprises of five graduate students and two ETC faculty members. They are working with the Rauch Bicycle Club, founded by Mike and Markisha White, that uses bicycling to create life-forming experiences for K–12 students, with STEM education as a core part of its mission. Team ByteMX is developing a digital simulation and game that will let students design, model, and test pump tracks—teaching engineering skills while highlighting the community value of pump track parks.

What is BMX?

BMX is an acronym for Bicycle Motocross. Unlike regular biking, the sport is focused on the racing side of things with an emphasis on the jumping, speed, style and doing tricks while riding through obstacles.
